Decorative heading : Mission

The mission of JA is to help students attain their highest academic and character potential through an academically rigorous, content-rich educational program.

Decorative header: Vision

JA envisions a community of parents, teachers, students, and educational and business leaders working together to create a learning environment that engenders academic achievement, growth of character and the love of learning, resulting in responsible, productive citizens.

Week one is in the books and it was a great week. Students are getting in the swing of being in school and learning classroom processes and procedures. The classrooms are alive with the sounds of learning and we are enjoying every minute. Thank you for trusting the JA Coal Creek Canyon staff with your children everyday. It’s going to be a great year.

Decorative header: Super Monday

We’re excited to get our Super Monday students settled into their new classes! Families will have the first two Super Mondays to request schedule changes as students get a feel for their classes and make sure their schedules are a good fit.

After the first two weeks, Super Monday schedules will be finalized for the remainder of the school year. Please keep in mind that not every schedule change can be accommodated. Changes are dependent on class availability, and some courses are required for students and therefore cannot be removed from their schedules.

Please reach out to the front office for any questions regarding schedule changes.

Decorative Header: Back to school Registration

We are still missing a few student's registration forms.

If you have not filled out and signed your back to school documents please do so as quickly as possible. Your student can not be assigned a computer unless we have these acknowledgements signed.

Here is the link to complete the 26-27' JA CCC Registration

Don't forget to bring the  2026–27 Annual Field Trip Form by the office.

Please return these forms to your classroom teacher, or the front office.

🛡️ Raptor Visitor Check-In System

For the safety of our students and staff, use the Raptor visitor management system to check in visitors and volunteers. When you visit the school, Raptor helps us quickly verify your identity and ensure that everyone in our building is accounted for.

New families and first time volunteers: Please remember to bring a government-issued photo ID the first time you volunteer or visit the school.

If you registered through the Raptor last year you do not need to do it again, your information is saved in they system.

In the state of Colorado middle school students have an increased number of required instructional minutes. In order for us to compensate for these minutes we are adjusting the start time for middle school students (grades 6-8) 10 minutes earlier this year.

This adjustment is being made so that we can provide enough buffer in case of snow days or other unforeseen closures of school. The start time for middle school will be 8:20am. Thank you for your flexibility. We want to avoid having to schedule remote learning days or adding days at the end of the year if we end up having unexpected closures or late starts. The start time for Prek-5th grade will remain at 8:30.

We are looking for adult volunteers to help out in the building. Some of our needs are one time or short term needs and are often requested by teachers or shared in these weekly principal notes. Our biggest school day needs for the year are helping with lunch supervision and parking lot safety.

Lunch supervision is about an hour a day from 11:35-12:25 and parking lot supervision is about 20-30 minutes a day from 3:25-3:45.

We will train you for parking lot duty, give you a really cool vest and maybe even a stop sign!

We have had a couple of parents step up for lunch supervision this week and we are so grateful, but we never want one or two people to shoulder all of the responsibility.  Even committing to one day a week is so helpful. We will train you and give you exclusive access to a walkie talkie!

Please sign up here if you are able to help!

Decorative header: Student Fees
