We invite all Pre-K, Kindergarten, and new-to-JA Coal Creek Canyon parents/guardians to join us for our annual Boo-Hoo / Yahoo Breakfast after drop-off on the first day of school! Whether you’re shedding a few “boo-hoo” tears or celebrating with a “yahoo,” this is a great opportunity to connect with other families, meet members of our school community, and start the year together. In the state of Colorado middle school students have an increased number of required instructional minutes. In order for us to compensate for these minutes we are adjusting the start time for middle school students (grades 6-8) 10 minutes earlier this year.
This adjustment is being made so that we can provide enough buffer in case of snow days or other unforeseen closures of school. The start time for middle school will be 8:20am. Thank you for your flexibility. We want to avoid having to schedule remote learning days or adding days at the end of the year if we end up having unexpected closures or late starts. The start time for Prek-5th grade will remain at 8:30. |
As we are coming to the end of our grant award window in September of this year, we will be reintroducing student fees for this school year. We have been very fortunate to have been awarded these grant funds and they have been vital to our growing success as a school community, but all good things come to an end.
We have done our best to keep these fees as low as possible. Please know we do not want any families to face hardship with student fees, if you need assistance please contact Luke Holocher at lholocher@jajags.com. Any discussions had with Luke will be kept fully confidential.
The fee schedule is linked here. To pay fees online, log into Infinite Campus (Navigate to "more", click on Jeffco Student Fee Payment). To pay in person, you can pay by check or credit card in the office. |
| We can't wait to see these smiling faces back in the halls!!

At 6PM, make your way to the gym for a quick presentation of items that apply to all families and then you will be released to visit classrooms for individual classroom presentations. Teachers will host two sessions to accommodate families with multiple children; 1st: 6:30pm-7:00pm 2nd:7:00pm-7:30pm As a reminder, Back to School Night will be counted as a student contact day so please do your very best to attend. If you are unable to attend please contact the office at 720-719-3003 or let your child's teacher know. |
As mentioned at the end of last year, all districts and school organizations were required to develop a policy for cell phone use by Jul 1, 2026. Luckily this policy will not be a shift for our JA CCC community.
The JA organization has a bell to bell policy for cell phone use which we will be following starting the first day of school. This means students must keep their phones stored from the time they enter the building until they leave for the day. This includes any students who are attending after care. If you have any questions please contact Carrie Mott.
