On Wednesday, September 10th we will conduct our annual lockdown drill at 12:30. In preparation for the drill we will review the processes and procedures for the drill for our students so they know exactly what to do. It is our hope that we will never need to activate an actual lockdown drill. It is important to practice so everyone is prepared. No one will be allowed in or out of the building during the drill. We are looking for someone to be a part of the Jefferson Academy School Accountability Committee. Meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month, in person at the JA Elementary campus but there is also an option for attending meetings virtually. 1st grade "hanging out" and enjoying the beautiful weather!

As mentioned at back to school night we are wanting to get parents into the building with volunteer opportunities. Some of our needs are one time or short term needs and are often requested by teachers or shared in these weekly principal notes. Our biggest school day needs for the year are helping with lunch supervision and parking lot safety.

Lunch supervision is about an hour a day from 11:30-12:30 and parking lot supervision is about 20-30 minutes a day from 3:15-3:45. Please let us know if you are able to help!
