As part of our $425,241 Charter School Program (CSP) grant from Great Schools Colorado, JA CCC recently wrapped up a Quality Schools Review (QSR) led by the Charter School Institute (CSI) — and we’re excited to share the results!

Over the course of two full days, a two-person review team visited our school, observed classrooms, and met with 16 different stakeholders. The purpose? To take a close, evidence-based look at how well JA CCC is implementing the strong JA Elementary model we set out to replicate.

After two site visits and a thorough review process, JA CCC earned an impressive 57 out of 60 points — scoring proficient or above on every single indicator! That’s something our entire community can feel proud of.

Of course, even great schools are always growing. The QSR team also highlighted areas of opportunity and provided thoughtful recommendations and action steps to help us feel more connected as an organization and continue to develop at the school level.

We’re grateful for the feedback and proud of the team effort that made this possible. If you’d like to dive into the details, click here for the summary. The full report is also linked within the summary.

A special thank you to teachers for welcoming the review team into their classrooms, PTO for providing lunch and to Téa Wilkins and Ashley Allen for being a part of the stakeholder interviews.

Is your student ready to level up and take on more responsibility? This Babysitting CPR & First Aid Class is perfect for those students! Whether that’s babysitting, helping siblings, or being the go-to helper in their neighborhood, they will learn real world on-hand experience.

Participants will earn two official certifications through the American Red Cross. CPR and First Aid, all for $125. This hands-on course will equip students with the skills they need to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

The class is offered by a retired female first responder who is also a JA community mom, bonus!! (She also does adult classes, and certified our JACCC staff)

Even the staff gets in on the Spirit Day fun!!

Don’t forget to sign up for a conference March 6th. We look forward to meeting with parents to celebrate student success and offer more support where it may be needed. Please reach out to teachers if you have questions.

Don't forget to check the lost and found when you are in the building, all items not claimed after conferences will be donated.

REPEATED

We have an over abundance of lost and found items that we have adopted that are looking to be reunited with their real families. Items will be on display near the front office until the Monday after conferences. After that day all items will be re-homed at a donation center.

Thank you to families who have returned their parking lot safety acknowledgment forms. If you have misplaced your form here is one you can print out or feel free to stop into the office and pick one up.

Student safety is something that can not be compromised. This acknowledgment process will help us confirm that all families know the expectations and procedures.

Did our description NOT tempt you to help? Or perhaps the days didn't work?  If a weekend day would be more convenient please email Mrs. Mott!

We are looking for some volunteers to help us move some extremely heavy rugs. And when we say heavy… we mean “why does a floor covering weigh as much as a baby elephant?” heavy.

We need help re-placing them and applying rug tape to (hopefully) keep them in place.

All skill levels welcome. Superhuman strength appreciated but not required. Forget about your gym workout for the day and join us instead, our class will feature:

  • Deadlifts? Try Rug-lifts.
  • Core workout? Try “Don’t Drop That Corner.”
  • Team building? Absolutely.
  • Questioning your life choices halfway through? Possibly.

Sign up here if you are able to help.  If we get an overwhelming response for one day, we will move forward doing it on that one day.

Wow! We are blown away by the incredible response to help with the playground project. We are working through some details and supplies. Stay tuned for more information coming soon about upcoming volunteer dates to help complete this project!
