Valentine's day parties

Each classroom will be having a Valentine’s Day party the last hour of the day on February 12th. Teachers will send home information requesting volunteers (if needed), supplies needed, class lists and details for exchanging Valentines soon.

Water Bottles

Just a quick reminder to send your child with a water bottle to school each day. We've had ALOT of forgotten water bottles this month, and we’ve gone through an entire case of disposable water bottles since the beginning of January.

Library

The library is looking for donations to do a project with the middle school students.  We are looking for easy reader books (that we can destroy 😁)  The books need to be in good shape, easy to read, but still tells a story - think Frog and Toad, Green Eggs and Ham, There’s a Monster at the End of this Book, etc)

If you have any of these sitting around we would love to have them.

100th day of school!

CMAS

Our state CMAS testing is quite a ways off but wanted to make sure families get these dates on their calendars. We are asking all families to make their best effort to not plan trips or appointments during the window. The dates for the testing window are April 7th-April 25th.

Thank you so much for your help.

Core Values

WE STAND CONFIDENT AND UNWAVERING IN OUR MISSION & VISION

This week’s core value is “ we stand confident and unwavering in our mission and vision”. This is a great time for a reminder of what our organization-wide mission and vision are. The best way to stand confident and unwavering in the mission and vision is first to know what they are, then internalize what we are saying and then be willing to share how we live up to them. It is not just the schools responsibility to live the mission and vision but all stakeholders within the community. Coincidently the mission for Coal Creek Canyon was very similar to the JA organization mission once again highlighting how similar we were before becoming JA CCC.

 Mission

The mission of Jefferson Academy is to help students attain their highest academic and character potential through an academically rigorous, content-rich educational program.

Vision

Jefferson Academy envisions a community of parents, teachers, students, and educational and business leaders working together to create a learning environment that engenders growth in character, academic achievement, and the love of learning, resulting in responsible, productive citizens.
