JA Family Survey

In order to ensure that all families are receiving communication about parking lot procedures and drop off times we will be sending home a one pager of information and guidelines this week for all families to review, sign and return.

Students will also be doing a walk-through with Mrs. Mott about how to exit the building to the parking lot, crosswalk use and where they are allowed to stand and wait for pick-up.

Student safety is something that can not be compromised. This acknowledgment process will help us confirm that all families know the expectations and procedures.

Our winter SOAR Awards Assembly will be held this Friday, February 27th at 2:45pm. We will notify families no later than today if their child or children is receiving an award during the assembly.

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming! SAVE THE DATE for March 2nd - 5th and get your reader psyched to pick out their own books! Start exploring together: https://www.scholastic.com/bf/jeffersonacadcoalcrkcanyon

REPEATED

We have an over abundance of lost and found items that we have adopted that are looking to be reunited with their real families. Items will be on display near the front office until the Monday after conferences. After that day all items will be re-homed at a donation center.

We are looking for some volunteers to help us move some extremely heavy rugs. And when we say heavy… we mean “why does a floor covering weigh as much as a baby elephant?” heavy.

We need help re-placing them and applying rug tape to (hopefully) keep them in place.

All skill levels welcome. Superhuman strength appreciated but not required. Forget about your gym workout for the day and join us instead, our class will feature:

  • Deadlifts? Try Rug-lifts.
  • Core workout? Try “Don’t Drop That Corner.”
  • Team building? Absolutely.
  • Questioning your life choices halfway through? Possibly.

Sign up here if you are able to help.  If we get an overwhelming response for one day, we will move forward doing it on that one day.

Wow! We are blown away by the incredible response to help with the playground project. We are working through some details and supplies. Stay tuned for more information coming soon about upcoming volunteer dates to help complete this project!
