This is the final Principal Notes for 2025, I can’t believe it. We have a busy week coming up as we close out our first semester of the school year. We will be finishing up our middle of the year assessments with students. We are excited to look at the results from these assessments to see how much students are growing academically.
The Santa Shop will be open for business before and after school Tuesday through Thursday this week. Mrs. Ward’s class is extending shopping hours to after school on Monday so if any of our homeschool students want to shop for gifts they have an opportunity. Prices of the gently used/new items will range between .25 cents and $5. Thank you to everyone who donated items for the Santa Shop, the closet in Mrs. Ward’s room is overflowing.
We are looking forward to our ice skating and holiday concert on Thursday, as well as classroom parties and the talent show on Friday. As a reminder Friday is an early release day so don’t forget to pick your child up at noon.
I know staff and families are looking forward to a well deserved break before we kick off the second half of the school year. Whether you are traveling or staying close to home, have a safe holiday season. We will see you next year. Warm Wishes, Principal Mott P.S. Principal Notes will return on January 5th:) |

We are looking for someone to work a couple of hours a day in after care Mon-Thurs. This is a great job opportunity for high school or college students who need a little extra money and only want to work 10 hours a week or less. If you know of someone who might be interested please have them email Carol Wilson and Carrie Mott.

REPEATED First round of Open Enrollment is open now through Jan. 9th, 2026. Please keep the following information in mind:
Current JA CCC Pre-K Families If you have a student currently in Pre-K, you will need to participate in the Open Enrollment process to apply for kindergarten. We highly recommend completing the process during Round 1. Incoming Pre-K Families
Any family wishing to enroll their child in next year’s Pre-K program must participate in Open Enrollment. We strongly encourage completing this during Round 1, as preschool seats across Jeffco are very limited. If you know someone interested in JA CCC’s preschool program for next year, please share this information with them. Exiting 8th Graders
Families of 8th graders must participate in Open Enrollment if their student plans to attend any high school other than Jefferson Academy Secondary. If you do not participate in Round 1, your student’s enrollment will automatically roll over to Jefferson Academy Secondary. Current JA CCC Students (Kindergarten–7th Grade)
Students currently in grades K–7 will receive an email on Dec 2nd asking for their intent to enroll for next year. You will login and confirm that enrollment. If you do nothing, you will automatically be enrolled at JA CCC for next year. If for any reason you are making a change this is when you need to take action. |

As we enter our snowy months JACCC’s procedure for snow days and late starts is as follows. If all Jeffco schools are closed JACCC is also closed. If Jeffco Mountain Schools are closed JACCC is also closed. If all Jeffco Schools or just mountain schools call a late start we will run a modified schedule from 10:30am-3:30pm. You should also receive a phone call and email with closure/delay information. It is always a good idea to pay attention to the local news and check social media or the JACCC website if you are ever unsure of whether we have a delayed schedule or a snow day.
