TONIGHT!

It’s not too late to invite someone to our Prospective Family Night tonight at 6pm. If you know of any family of an incoming preschooler, new kindergartener or any families at any grade level that would be interested in attending JA CCC please invite them to join us.

First round choice enrollment starts December 2nd so this is a great opportunity for families to get general information, meet teachers, tour classrooms and ask questions about our amazing school. The flyer is linked here and we have some available in the office if you have anyone you’d like to pass the information on to.

TONIGHT!!!

We would like to hold a community forum with teachers and family members to discuss the upcoming year’s calendar. We will be meeting tonight at 5pm before our Prospective Family Night. The meeting will not be long, we just want to get a feel from the community about how to best align our calendar. All are welcome to join in the discussion.

We will host our holiday music program on December 18th @ 2:30pm. We will hear the musical stylings of our K-8 students and our band students. We will start promptly at 2:30pm to make sure we have enough time to hear from all of our performers.

We held our rescheduled lockdown drill on Friday, and our students did an incredible job. The drill began promptly at 12:30 and wrapped up just before 1:00 p.m.

We want to extend our gratitude to the officers who supported us throughout the drill. Their calm presence and the way they intentionally connect with students, getting down on their level and helping them feel safe, make a tremendous difference. We are especially appreciative that they prioritized clearing classrooms with students first, ensuring no student remained in lockdown position for more than 15 minutes.

Morning Drop-Off Reminder
Just a quick reminder that student drop-off begins at 8:10 AM. Student safety is our top priority, and we want to make sure every child is supervised. If you arrive early, please keep your child in the car or walk with them and remain until 8:10 AM.

Thank you for helping us keep all students safe and cared for each morning! 💛

Volunteer opportunities

NEW Volunteer Needs

We have more good news!! The pre-k has grown to a point that we need two teachers with them at almost all times. The downside is we are losing a little bit of support with small groups K-5.

We could use a few volunteers who are willing to come to school 30 minutes early for pick-up and work with small groups of students on enrichment activities or foundational skills. All group time lessons will be planned for any parents who would be willing to facilitate learning so we can continue to grow all of our students academically.

Enrichment/foundational skills activities 30 minutes a day from 3-3:30.

Of course we always want to add to our lunch time and parking lot volunteers. We are so grateful to all the parents who have stepped up to fill this need. Thank you Sean Brown, Cassie Hougland, Lauren Riley, Anne Ware, Kate Langer and anyone who has just helped for a day or two.

Lunch supervision is an hour a day from 11:30-12:30 Crossing guard is 20-30 minutes a day from 3:15-3:45.

As we head into the snowy season, here’s what to expect for weather-related schedule changes at JACCC:

✅ If ALL Jeffco Schools are closed → JACCC is closed

✅ If Jeffco Mountain Schools are closed → JACCC is closed.

✅ If a late start is called (for all Jeffco Schools or just Mountain Schools) → We will run a modified schedule: 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM

You will also receive a phone call and email with any closure or delay details.

When in doubt, it’s always a good idea to monitor local news, check social media, or visit the JACCC website for the most up-to-date information.

Our AMAZING intervention teacher Mrs. Wellensiek has created an Intervention Support Hub for our JA CCC families. It includes general information about her role in the building as well as some resources families can access at home for extra practice of reading and math skills.
