Visit our website for all things JA Coal Creek Canyon

We are in need of the following items for the clinic:

Size 5-6 and 7-8 sweatpants for boys            (we have enough pants for girls)

If you have any of these items that you are able to donate please bring them to the office!  BIG Thank you to those who have already dropped items off!

We will have classroom parties to celebrate Valentines Day on Thursday, February 12th. Classroom teachers will be sending out information about party times, need for volunteers, food, supplies and valentine distribution to families.

*Homeschool families are invited to attend the parties and celebrate with us.*

We will be taking all students to see Junie B. Jones at the Arvada Center on Tuesday, February 17th.

Information about ordering sack lunches will be coming home shortly. We do not need parents chaperones for this field trip.

*Homeschool families are invited to attend the play with us.*

We would like to share our appreciation for all of the volunteers that helped out for our annual Stock Show field trip. It was a great day of exploration and learning for our students. These events would not be possible without you all!

Colorado law now requires schools to adopt a clear student cell phone policy by July 1, 2026.

While each JA campus currently restricts student cell phone use during the school day, we are working to create a consistent policy across all campuses.

Families and staff are invited to complete a quick, 3-question survey (under 3 minutes) to share feedback.

Your input will help inform a proposal to the JA Board of Directors. The survey closes Friday, January 23 at 5:00 p.m. Thank you for your partnership and support.

Take the survey here.

JACCC’s procedure for snow days and late starts is as follows. If all Jeffco schools are closed JACCC is also closed. If Jeffco Mountain Schools are closed JACCC is also closed. If all Jeffco Schools or just mountain schools call a late start we will run a modified schedule from 10:30am-3:30pm. You should also receive a phone call and email with closure/delay information. It is always a good idea to pay attention to the local news and check social media or the JACCC website if you are ever unsure of whether we have a delayed schedule or a snow day.

We always love giving kids the opportunity to play outside on snowy, rainy days even on cold days. They also love to be outside. Please make sure your child is dressed for Colorado mountain weather (experiencing all the seasons in 24 hours) each day. If you are in need of cold weather gear for your child(ren) please call the office, we will keep these requests confidential.

Next month, the Jefferson Academy School Accountability Committee (SAC) will send out its yearly family survey. Around the same time, Jefferson County will also send out its annual survey. While both surveys are valuable, if you are inclined to complete only one, we kindly ask that you complete the JA SAC survey.

The SAC survey provides all families with the opportunity to share their thoughts and experiences about JA CCC and our broader JA community. The results will offer more actionable insights for our school than the district survey. We sincerely appreciate any time you take to complete it, as we are aiming for an 80% or higher family participation rate.

When indoor recess meets team spirit.

Did you know that five of our Jefferson Academy Secondary high-school girls dance with the Standley Lake Poms team? (This includes Mrs. Daniels daughter!!!)

That’s the JA advantage! If Jefferson Academy doesn’t offer a particular sport or club, students can participate in that activity at another Jefferson County public school.

These girls are hosting a Mini Poms clinic: see details below!!

As the weather is changing we want to remind all families of our parking lot rules. Remember these procedures that were suggested by risk management should grow with us as we increase our enrollment. We need everyone’s help to make sure we are all doing our part to keep students safe.

No matter the weather, student safety is a top priority!!!

CMAS Dates for 3rd-8th grade students

Our state CMAS testing is quite a ways off but wanted to make sure families get these dates on their calendars. We are asking all families to make their best effort to not plan trips or appointments during the window. The dates for the testing window are April 6th-April 24th. Thank you so much for your help.
