We have noticed students getting to school a bit before the designated drop off time. We always want to make sure students are in areas that are supervised so please keep your child in your car until the times below.
Breakfast drop off starts at 8:10am
Playground drop off starts at 8:15am
If you have multiple children and some want to eat, and some don’t, feel free to send them all into the building at 8:10am and we will send the ones who are not eating out at 8:15am.
Mrs. Gardner will be hosting a short music program on Thursday, December 19th @ 2:45pm. This is not a full holiday program but will be more of an opportunity for our students to showcase their singing abilities and for our 4th-7th graders to show off what they have been learning during band/orchestra. Parents are welcome to attend.
We always love giving kids the opportunity to play outside and be in the snow, even on cold days. Students will be going outside even if it's only for a few minutes. If your child wants to play in the snow please make sure they have boots, snow pants, hats and mittens. If they do not have these items they will need to stay in shoveled areas. Please make sure your child is dressed for Colorado mountain weather each day. If you have any winter weather gear that you are able to donate for students in need please drop them off at the office. If you are in need of cold weather gear for your child(ren) please call the office, we will keep these requests confidential.
There have been many days that students do not have proper footwear for gym. When this happens they are not able to fully participate in the planned activities because it causes a safety issue.
We are asking that on Monday’s and PE days that all students wear tennis shoes with non-marking (preferably not black) soled shoes.
Please make sure you are sending a snack or two with your child each day. We have a stash of emergency snacks in the office for students who forget to bring one, however we are noticing many students are coming to the office daily sometimes multiple times for a snack. We are always happy to provide snacks for students who may forget to bring one every now and again, but we do not have the ability to provide multiple snacks a day to students.
We have gotten more furniture, white boards, etc to install and would love some help getting it all put together and distributed to classrooms on Saturday, December 15th from 9am-1pm. Please let us know if you are interested in helping by signing up on this sign up genius.
Do you have a musical background and play an instrument? Would you like to share your gift of music with our school? We are looking for musicians in our community willing to help with the band/orchestra students by working with small groups or one-on-one on Thursdays from 11-11:40am. Anyone with violin, viola, cello, trumpet, clarinet, saxophone or percussion experience are especially needed. Reach out to Lindsey Gardner at lgardner@jajags.com if you are able to help.
We want our Super Monday families to feel included and to be a part of decisions being made at JACCC. If you are interested to be a member of our amazing PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) please email jacccpto@gmail.com.
